Listen to your family. It sounds like an identity theft scam to me. Don’t respond to any other e-mails and block this guy. If you get similar offers, block them.

Most of us are good people and want to help others. That’s why some get taken in. Please, please don’t go for this. These people are experts at making you feel sorry for them.

This guy could easily give this to a charity or someone in his home country. Think hard - this is a scam, IMHO.

Yes, it’s a scam. This person is asking for way too much personal information. It’s enough to steal the identies of your and your children.
The next step is that you’ll be asked to send money to cover the cost of shipping. If you send it, you’ll be asked for more money to cover some unexpected shipping costs. As long as you send money, you’ll be asked to send more to cover yet more costs.
Look at it this way. You’re being told you just won a lottery you didn’t enter. Just what are the odds of your e-mail address being picked out of all the e-mail addresses on the web. In this case, pretty good because this same e-mail is being sent to thousands of people in hopes of scamming money out of them.
Whatever you do, don’t send this person any money. Do you think you’d have any hope of getting any money back from Praque?
